Experienced Respiratory Tech and Staff Therapist Kathie Greear
Based in Lee, Maine, Kathie Greear began her career as a respiratory technician and staff therapist with St. Marys Hospital in Lewiston, Maine. Kathie Greear gained experience looking after patients living with lung disease.
Between 1990 and 2006, Kathie Greear functioned as a staff cardiopulmonary technologist at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington. She developed and integrated asthma and pulmonary rehab programs. During that time she was on the Maine Asthma Council. After that, Kathie Greear served as a traveling respiratory therapist with a Freemont, Nebraska based company. While working as a traveler she and her husband who is also a Respiratory Therapist, worked 3 winters at the Dixie Regional Medical Center frequently working in the Broncholitis Clinic assessing and assisting infants with RSV to minimize hospital admission.
Kathie Greear holds a degree in allied health from Southern Maine Technical College in Portland. She has also achieved professional certification in pulmonary function technology and asthma education, among other credentials. When she is not working, Kathie Greear enjoys leading a physically active lifestyle. A few of her preferred activities include kayaking and hiking. She is also an experienced dancer who has performed during half-time shows for the Utah Jazz and Harlem Globe Trotters.
